Overview

Milnor Washer/Extractors employ a number of suspension or vibration isolation systems.  Some units use Hydrocushions, some use Isolators, some use shock absorbers in conjunction with rubber springs, still others use various combinations of the systems listed above.  This article addresses the shock absorber / rubber spring suspension style.  Rubber springs are referred to as Marsh Mellows, from the Firestone trademark.  Milnor uses shock absorbers and Marsh Mellows, pictured below.  marsh mellows and how they're measured.  Below that, major components, assemblies, and links to parts diagrams will be listed according to model number.

Milnor currently uses 4 sizes of shock absorbers.  These are listed smallest to largest.

Marsh Mellow™

There are many different sizes of Marsh Mellow™ isolators.  Milnor uses over 10 different sizes.  The description of the Marsh Mellow follows the O.D. x I.D. x H structure. The 60B131 / MM SPRG 4X2X7.5 for example is 4 inches in outer diameter, 2 inches in inner diameter, and 7.5 inches tall.
