Hydrocushion and Isolator Vibration Isolation Systems
Part number information for hydrocushion and isolator systems with component part diagrams. Isolator and shock absorber systems hanging suspension system.
Overview
Milnor employs two different metallic spring loaded vibration isolation systems; Isolators and Hydrocushions. This knowledge article will provide the part numbers as well as parts diagrams for those systems. There are significant differences between Hydrocushions and Isolators.
Hydrocushions
Connect to the top frame of the machine and suspend the wash system from above.
Have springs within the cylinder.
Contain oil in a sealed system which is used for dampening compression and recoil of the spring.
The shaft connected to the top of the hydrocushion is not connected to the shaft running from the bottom to the wash system.
Are used with push down mechanisms for stability during wash cycle.
Isolators
Are attached to the base of the frame and support the wash system from below.
Have springs outside the shaft.
Contain oil for lubrication.
The shaft connected to the base moves within the shaft connected to the wash load as the spring contracts and recoils.

Hydrocushions
The majority of Milnor washer-extractor models with hydrocushion systems are listed in the following diagrams. Model tables with part numbers and positioning are provided below the diagrams.
