PulseFlow Pumps
Pump descriptions and part numbers for the PulseFlow CBW (PBW)

There are multiple pumps on a PulseFlow CBW.   There are differences in the style and the horsepower depending on the application.  Open vortex pumps are used when sucking liquor from unfiltered sources like the mid module pump and mod 1 recirculation pump.  Older machines may utilize different pumps but these shown can generally be interchanged, unless noted.

Main PulseFlow Pumps

Main PulseFlow Pump:  takes a suction from the PulseFlow Tank (PFT) and pumps to the last rinse zone module.
A G3 CBW (76028 or 76039), uses part number 27E935A96. If the machine is a PulseFlow 2 configuration, this pump is upsized and is part number 27E936A96.
A G4 CBW (92048), uses part number 27E936A96.
If you have a split PFT, which has a fresh water side and a press water side, you need a vertical shaft pump.  Pumps with 5 and 7.5 HP motors are available. Impellers are bigger for the 7.5 HP motor.
  • The 5 HP vertical shaft part number is 27E935A96V.
  • The 7.5 HP vertical shaft part number is 27E936A96V.

Mid Module Pumps

Mid Module Pumps takes suction from a mid module and pumps to the previous module.  These are only used on machines longer than 6 modules.

All machines use 27E936B96.
Note: Mid Module Pumps need to be primed. The bleeder valve shown is used for bleeding the air out of the pump to prime the pump.

RecircOne Pump

RecircOne or Mod1 Recirc pulls from Module 1 sump and discharges to the load chute.

Machines prior to early 2016 use 27E935D96
Machines after early 2016 use an EBARA pump, part number 27E935F96

These two pumps are not interchangeable.  Some fittings and motor base are required to make this adaptation if you replace the Gusher with a Ebara pump.  The Ebara may be better for sand erosion and cavitation resistance.

Flush Pump

Flush pumps pulls from the Flush or PulseFlow tank (depending on model and setup) and pumps to the load chute. Newer systems, utilize an air operated ball valve plumbed to incoming water.

All machines using a pump use 27E934A96.

Alternate Pulse Flow

Alternate PulseFlow:  If included this optional pump takes suction from the PFT and pumps to the Fast fill header and is used to provide 2 flowing zones in the CBW on either side of an alternate purge formula.

Standard alternate pulse flow uses 27E935A96 pump.
PulseFlow "2" machines (with wider weir boxes and larger flow tubes) will substitute this pump with pump 27E936A96.

Parts

Mechanical seals for the Gusher pumps mentioned above are part number 27E934AMS.
The mechanical seal for the Ebara pump is 27E935FRS.

Pump cases are also available for the Gusher pumps.  Consult the parts department for the numbers.
