As of October 2022 a new printer made by BIXOLON SRP-275III is also available. See file attached for instructions.

Cable connections from Multitrac PC output to Serial Ticket Printer 08MPSER40C

MIlnor uses a Star SP550 ticket printer.  The ticket printer has a 25 pin D connector.  You need a 25 pin D female with male pins to connect to the printer.
Multitrac uses a USB connector.  The printer is supplied with a stand that includes the wiring below and requires a customer supplied cable for the signal if the printer is remote to the Multitrac.
If a printer is ordered separately and field installed, the connection needed may vary.  Be aware of the connectors needed at the printer and Multitrac so the cable can be assembled in the field.

This document is not used to install the STAR 650II Thermal ticket printer.

This document was updated to reflect our current hardware, software and Windows Operating System
On the Siemens PC there are two COM ports on the backside.

COM7 (left) will be used for a Ticket Printer.
COM2 (right) will be used for the Signal Light.

We need to reassign the COM port number used to drive the signal light.
Open the Registry and navigate to the following area:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MILNOR\SigLite
Double click on the word “ComPort” on the left side of the window and change the number to “2”
Reboot the PC so commit the changes.

The Ticket printer uses one of the COM ports on the PC.  Try to assign the printer to COM1.  The port should have the following settings:

  • 9600 Baud Rate
  • 8 data bits
  • even parity*** The SP712 use No Parity instead of EVEN.  1/2022
  • 1 stop bit
  • no flow control
