LATCH KEEP RELAY SINGLE COIL DOUBLE COIL

Latch relays, also called keep relays, are relays that maintain contact position after the control power has been removed.  They are set (ON) or reset (OFF) by the input of a pulse voltage.  Even after the input voltage is interrupted, the relay maintains its set or reset condition.  Latching relays allow a customer to control a circuit by simply providing a single pulse to the relay control circuit.

They are used in various applications throughout Milnor's product line.  Some examples include door seal inflation / deflation and error warnings that must be addressed.

Milnor has used two types of latch relays, single coil and double coil.  Single coil relays were used in older models.
The difference between the two latching relay types are:
Single Coil are set and reset when the polarity of the coil is changed.
Double Coil are set when a pulse is applied to the set coil and reset when a pulse is applied to the reset coil.

Each type has 24 volt, 120 volt, and 240 volt variation.
