How do I recover my lost password on a MilTouch™ machine?
The MilTouch machine stores your password in memory. The program is able to display and encrypted version of the password. This can be decoded to regain access to your machine.
On MilTouch machines, a PASSWORD can be set to enter programming, configure, or manual mode.  If password is forgotten, you will only be able to access basic machine operations to start or stop a formula. The MilTouch software will display an encoded password (string of characters) on the password entry screen as shown below.
  1. On machines running software WUMTGUI 2.x.xxx (known as Version 2), the encoded password is not normally displayed and must be forced. Download the instructions and recovery file below.
  2. On machines running software WUMTGUI 3.x.xxx (known as Version 3), if the encoded password is not displayed on the password entry screen, download the instructions and recovery file below.
  3. NOTE:  If you see the coded password in the red box below, DO NOT use the recovery method!  The recovery will reset the Miltouch to a much older version and make the configuration incompatible! Instead, call Milnor tech support for help with recovering the password.
The encoded password is inside the red box in the below picture.

If it is blank within the brackets for the coded password as shown in the image below, you may have an empty password. Touch the Check button to proceed.
