KBTBHFRDT.
This requires two extra grounding wires.
The 08BHFRDT board helps suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) found to cause resets of the processor board. Prior remedies on processor board resets grounded the processor board ground connection to chassis ground. While this worked in some cases the solution was not proved in all conditions. The root cause of the reset was found in the EMI caused by the door interlock and transmitted through the BAFR board.
Kit KBTBHFRDT: REPLACING THE 08BHFRCT WITH 08BHFRDT
To facilitate access to the locking tabs on TB1 & TB3, the headers on board 08BHFRDT have been rotated 180 degrees compared to 08BHFRCT. Therefore, tie-wraps will need to be cut to rotate the connectors TB1 & TB3 180 degrees.
A wire must be added from TB3 Pin 8 to Chassis Ground.
A second wire should be added from TB1 Pin 2 to Chassis Ground.
See the inset below to see ground wires (yellow with a green stripe) on the BAFR board connectors. These are wired to the ground terminal block shown to the right.
Notes:
Be sure the
Emergency Stop jumper
J1 is set appropriately (typically set to
NO).
Relays are provided in the kit. Do not use original relays with the new board.
